Dr. Lisa Rubin-Johnson's career has spanned over 25 years, including combined expertise in strategic marketing and educational consulting. in!Admissions is committed to supporting families during the complex and often stressful college process and helping make each student's college admissions experience a positive and successful one.
Our small 1:12 counselor-to-student ratio ensures that each student receives an in-depth, personalized experience with unparalleled one-to-one attention to detail.
By empowering students and their families with expert knowledge and organizing the many logistics of the process comprehensively, starting as early as freshmen year, in!Admissions helps our students "stand out from the pack", thereby improving admissions chances at the best-fit colleges of their choice. It is truly a privilege to work with young adults during this evolutionary time of self-discovery.
A mother herself of two college graduates, Lisa understands first-hand the joys and angst of the college admissions process. Lisa graduated in 2023 with her Doctorate in Higher Education Administration, and her doctoral research on First-Generation BIPOC college students has been used in publications by professors from the University of Virginia and UNC-Chapel Hill. She volunteers as a mentor to inner-city First-Generation college applicants at the Boston non-profit Trinity Education for Excellence Program (TEEP) and has trained Americorps coaches who mentor Chicago Public School students through the non-profit College Possible.
